A little context first: Don't believe Pakistan is such a ripe area for democracy. And it has not really been one in decades; the military's been in control, whether overtly or covertly for decades. Civilian "leaders" "rule" with the military's consent. To you that's a democracy?
Anyway.
What's the first thing that was done after the assassination? The scene was cleaned -- hosed down -- before any investigation began. Of course, clean up would be the last thing on the agenda. It makes one think that the authorities were in on this. And of course, B and her party were a major threat to the Islamofascist terrorists the Paki military tacitly supports.
