Faux News from the Specialists

Fox News hosts suggest veteran journalist Helen Thomas, famed for her uncompromising approach to asking tough questions, should be ousted from her seat at White House press briefings.

"She's not really a reporter anymore ... I don't know exactly what she does," quips one Fox host, prompting another to say "she's an agitator."

Later, with faux audience applause in the background, one of the hosts remarks "the cable news network with the highest ratings" (i.e., Fox) should get Thomas' seat.

If only they could admit there's no need for them to have a seat. All they need are the press releases and other materials they parrot. Their ex-colleague is press secretary; he doesn't really need FNC set-ups to get the message out, I'm sure. Leave Helen be, as a reminder that these farces were once covered by journalists.
