He preaches this new politics crap -- a kinder, gentler campaign. Well, that's a two-way thing; his opponents have to sign on too. And they won't. And he has shown no ability to fight that. Amazingly, slick talk and hubris won't be enough for victory. And op. cit. in coming days our new governor in N.Y.: He's a conciliator -- that is, he won't fight.
